Devon and Derek lost everything

My sister, Devon and her husband Derek lost everything in the horrific wildfires in Superior, CO.

Thankfully, they were in Pennsylvania during the fires so Devon, Derek and the kids are safe. And, their dog was at Derek's brother's house, so she is also safe. However, their house and literally all of their belongings are completely gone. It wasn't just a house, but a loving home with memories and mementos from significant events in their lives. The kids toys, bikes, books, and every day to day items are gone. Not to mentioned cherished items from their fathers whom both passed away last year. Devon and Derek live in Colorado for all the amazing outdoor adventures and activities. All of their ski, camping, hiking equipment are gone. These activities created amazing family memories and helped relieve stress. Their car is also gone. The comfy beds they would retreat to each night after a long day, knowing it's a warm, soft place to finally get a good night's rest are gone. Everything that gives you comfort in your own home, are completely, tragically gone for them.

We are very thankful they are safe but they have nothing. We cannot bring back those cherished items but we can help give them some comfort for clothing, food, diapers, etc. Anything will help right now while they figure out how to rebuild. 

There was nothing that could have been done to stop this tragedy. With over 100 mph winds, fire fighters could not stop the fires. The photos showing the complete devastation in Devon and Derek's hometown is something I hope nobody would have to go through. But for our family, this is a tragic reality.
