Devastating loss from Hurricane

Donation protected

How do you ask for help when you aren't sure what you need? My sister Michelle N James Merchant her husband, son Christopher Merchant, daughters Jessica Merchant and Gabrielle Langley (and her two daughters) are struggling. Their home in Louisiana was hit by hurricane Laura hard. The adjuster from the insurance company just left and she's pretty sure they will be totaling the home. Where will they live? As of now, they are ALL staying with a church friend (GOD Bless her) but they can't stay forever. I've offered my home but then who will start the clean up process? She is worried about so many things and as much as I am trying to help; I can hear it in her voice she wants to scream and cry all at the same time. The community of Hineston Louisiana had the eye of the hurricane pass through it. They have NO power. They have NO water. The businesses are trying to help but they are in the same boat, without resources. The generator they had is broken, the one they borrowed has broke, the one they need to acquire is over $800. Their barn is demolished, the trees are lying ontop of the chicken coup, the road into town is covered in debris and trees. Their belongings are soaked from the rain (the roof blew off the home), the food in the deep freezer has spoiled (no electricity), and without water how do you bathe?

Overwhelming huh!!
If you would kindly keep them and their community in your prayers, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you can help in anyway please let me know. Any monetary amount is appreciated and if you have any clothes for children (3 years and 6months) would be helpful.
