Destination Orphanage is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide help to those in need, whether it's children or adults.
We believe that everybody has the right to an education, clean water and acceptable living conditions so that they can live a comfortable life. These are some of the privileges that many of us takes for granted in our everyday lives.
By donating to Destination Orphanage, you will be contributing to making a difference for those in need! We recently had our first project in the city of Yangon in Myanmar, where we gifted clothing and food to people in need with the money donated to us by friends, family and colleagues. With the donations we were able to raise 12,810 NOK (1,633.79 US Dollars), with which we were able to purchase and donate:
• About 40 kg of clothes and blankets (through donations)
• Almost 2 tons of rice
• 6 cases of chicken noodles
• 4 big packs of wok noodles
• 3 bags of sugar
• 12 double packs of soap
• 20 packs of menstrual pads
Our new project is to help build a school in the village of Khar Shi, Myanmar. The new school will be able to house 200 children and ensure their education. We will be donating 100 percent of the funds directly to the cause (except the mandatory fees charged by GoFundMe, the bank or other possible donation methods). We fund our own travel expenses to ensure that your donations will be funding the project only.
Since this is not an american based charity (But a Norwegian one), we are not able to register it on gofundme as a charity. We are however registered in the Norwegian "brønnøysundregisteret" under "Destination Orphanage"
