Support through brain surgery Number 2

Hi there, my name is Niki, this is an edit to the original post as things have changed and not. Last year I had the first of two brain surgeries, 2 because number 1 didn't go according to plan. During the surgery a piece of skull bone splintered off and pierced the frontal lobe causing a brain bleed that ceased the surgery. This mishap also left me with a brain injury. Over the last year the recovery has been gruelling, made worse by a not particularly helpful relationship with the surgeon. I have now found a new surgeon and hospital to perform the second brain surgery. The reason for the surgery is that I have a cerebral aneurysm, or terminal ICA aneurysm, it has a daughter or an extra bulge and in the last 12 months it has grown rapidly, so the surgery is imperative. Currently that is scheduled for June.
The reason for gofundme is that I am a single mother with a 10 year old neurodiverse daughter who will require intensive support to remain at home and post surgery whilst I recover. We have minimal and very inflexible funding from NDIA and can't access funding from elsewhere as although life saving, the surgery is elective and there are not supportive foundations for aneurysms despite the fact that 40 percent of people die from rupture and those who survive are often left with permanent brain injuries. Considering 1 in 50 people potentially have an aneurysm its kinda crazy but thats another fight for another day. So the issue becomes that all post surgery and recovery support has to be paid privately and last time that was approximately $7000. We did have a support in place for my daughter this time around however it fell through last minute, well it feels last minute at the 5 week count down.
Due to recovery and a separate disability it has been especially hard for me to work over that last 12 months or save for any of these unforeseen changes.
Over the next month I will be sharing fundraising activities and sales of the products I make as another way to raise funding, so keep an eye out incase there are things you would like to purchase over making a donation. Of course we would be greatly honoured by any assistance.
What the money raised will be used for:
In home supports $4600
Travel and transport post surgery $1800 (I can not drive for 3 to 6 months)
Mobility supports $2150
Accommodation in Melbourne for support during surgery $780
