Desks for Young Minds - AZONETA Initiative

Hi, my name is Eric Osuorah. I am the Director for AZONETA, a not-for-profit organization registered in Canada. Our organization is primarily focused towards alleviating poverty, accessibility to quality education and social services such as healthcare.

We are starting this fundraiser to help donate desks to a Nursery and Primary School located in South East region of Nigeria. These desks are primarily for the Primary level classrooms within this institution.

This initiative is driven from the need to support these children and the entire school staff, by providing appropriate seating. Currently, we have children sitting on concrete floors and makeshift benches, as a result of the rains coming through the severely damaged roof within the school buildings.

To date, we have been able to raise the funds needed to repair the roof and now we would like to turn our attention towards replacing their desks. If you would like to see the renovations we have completed, please visit our blog at the below URL
