Desiree Nigg - funeral and memorial expenses

Donation protected

As many of you know, our Desiree, wife and mother to three beautiful daughters was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer back in January 2023. Those who know and supported Desiree and her family bore witness to her valiant fight for her life. All her family, friends and military friends donated generously and with the money raised Dustin was able to use towards the insurmountable medical bills, extra items needed specifically to accommodate Desiree's personal needs while going through aggressive chemo and subsequent hospital stays for additional complications. Your generosity was/is a true BLESSING and GREATLY appreciated!!
.
I am sad to inform all those who know and love Desiree, that last night (March 23) at 10:40pm our Desiree died and went to be with our Lord and Savior. As you can imagine we are all grieving the loss of such a quality person, friend, wife, daughter and mother. The void she leaves behind in our hearts is massive.

I call upon you once again, for financial support to help towards seeing Desiree's final wishes come to pass. Prior to Desiree's passing, Desiree and Dustin established her wishes together, they made arrangements to have her buried at Wildomar Cemetery- as she wanted her family to have the ability to easily visit her gravesite.. With your help, the funds
raised will be used to pay for the funeral expenses. With any excess funds after funeral and memorial costs are satisfied, Dustin would use any excess funds to pay any remaining medical bills and hopefully take the girls somewhere special where Desiree's memories would come alive.

On a more personal note, it is Desiree's heart to ensure her girls have every chance to heal and be encouraged - even in the face of such loss. To that end, Desiree recorded a "special goodbye" voice message to each of her daughters (15, 13, and 10) in this way, each daughter can listen to their mommy long after she passes. This was given to each daughter after Desiree passed yesterday. As you can imagine this was truly touching and extremely personal.
Desiree then recorded a secret message for each of her girls to listen to before their first prom dance.
In addition, 2 weeks ago, the whole family got baptized together declaring their relationship with our Jesus. We rejoice that God has made his presence known in the hearts of this family.
In the remaining weeks/days, prior to her passing, family and friends gathered together to ensure that Desiree felt loved and cared for.
Your donation, big or small, in this most desperate hour is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate - please include this family in your prayers and support us by SHARING this GoFundMe account.
If you have thoughts of encouragement and/or stories you would like to share with the family please do so. This page will be viewed by the family as they find comfort in knowing that their mommy was loved by so many.

DESIREE'S STORY
Desiree is a former Marine having served 14 years faithfully. Desiree had multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as, supporting operations in countries all over the world. Desiree's commitment to her service to our country was never more apparent than when she left for deployment leaving behind her 3 month old 2nd born child. During that deployment, she would send videos, recording Desiree reading children books for her two little ones to watch over and over again. It was heartwarming as well as heartbreaking to watch her girls gather around the TV with all eyes glued on mommy. In the Marine Corp, she earned respect from marines ranked above and below her, forever leaving her mark on her brothers and sisters in the Marine Corp.
