Heartbreakingly, I share the news of my Father's passing. He fought a long, hard battle for the last few years with various health issues. You'd never know it with the way he still wanted to live life to its fullest! However, he was in a lot of pain & it was time. He was very much ready. I wasn't, but HE was, so I made the necessary decision to let him go comfortably. He went in a peaceful state, quietly at 4:50pm, November 24th at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fresno, CA. Myself & my Brother Michael Ruiz, were by his side.
My Father spent a nice chunk of his life giving to others, helping others when in need, lending his expertise & teaching his craft to the Industry. He'd give you the shirt off his back or a tool from his collection if it meant you had what you needed. He'd build you a House, he'd build you a car! He was a very special soul, someone who brought joy to others around him - even when we may have not felt like we wanted it. The other chunk of his life was spent forever young. Fun. Wild. Free. Never ever to be tamed. A rolling stone.
I need to give him the dignified burial & extra special memorial his spirit deserves.
I have started a fundraiser to help cover the very unexpected cost of Funeral expenses. At this time, I am unable to find any life insurance documentation. While I navigate through this difficult journey, I am asking the very large community of my Father's friends for assistance. I'd like to be able to give him the send off he deserves & for all of us to say our final goodbyes.
It would mean a great deal to me if you could share my Father's Funeral Fundraiser with others who knew him & who you think may like to contribute. I deeply appreciate any assistance that is given.
