Denise is one of the many Bay Area residents who has been hit hard by our housing crisis. As California becomes harder and harder to afford, the residents who love it find creative ways to live here. For the past four years Denise has lived in her carcoon or has lived Tiny while working at the Thrift Store and rescuing bottle babies for CCHumane.
But as life moves along and the housing crisis becomes harder to navigate, Denise has made the difficult choice to relocate to a place that offers a better quality of life, lower cost of living and more opportunity. A place to settle in and put down roots!
After quite a bit of research, Denise landed on her destination! Wilmington, Delaware! Delaware is a sleepy, beach state with no income tax, no sales tax, affordable housing, a great LGBTQI+ community and a huge animal rescue that Denise looks forward to getting involved with. She has spoken with a lender and can safely afford to buy a little home there! If you can believe it, you can buy a fine home in Delaware for under 100K.
We hope to help Denise raise money to make this relocation possible! She has done so much for her friends and family, and is always the first one to show up to lend a hand when someone needs help! The money we raise will help cover her housing expenses when she gets to Delaware.
