Dena Newlun-Cancer Warrior

Dena is a single Mom to a High School Senior from Mustang, OK.  She is very active in the Oklahoma animal rescue community,  and she and her daughter have 5 rescue pets of their own.
Dena is a volunteer therapy dog handler with Tripod Petey ( the only known 3 legged Pitbull therapy dog in America).  When not volunteering as a handler with Petey you could find her testing and mentoring other prospective therapy dog teams for Alliance of Therapy Dogs in the metro Oklahoma City area.

In late June 2020, Dena was rushed to the emergency room, and within  two weeks she was given the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer.

The medical debt has become overwhelming for her and recently she  has had a series of bad luck incidents involving her household appliances.    To make things even more difficult, her beloved dog Petey also needs permanent and continuous medical care for his ruptured discs and spinal issues.
