John, admired by all for his caring nature and his devotion to God, his family and friends, has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

After months of on and off health struggles, a medical team has diagnosed him with a rare condition; Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST), that is malignant.  While John is running his own business life stays busy at home while Emily, his wife of 18 years, cares for and homeschools their 9 children. There have been many visits to the ER and specialists over the past few weeks, not only John, but also for Emily, who is recovering from recent back surgery.  John has also been busy assisting in the care of his father, Bob, who was given a short time to live after recently being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in the bone marrow.

Many of you have been asking how you can help the DeMyers as they go through this time of unimaginable stresses and trials.  Please pray for strength and healing in John. Pray for the doctors. Pray for Emily as she continues to recover.

Their financial needs:

-$3,000 is needed right away for a blood test that will show how he responds to a variety of treatments.
-$5,000 for nutritional support products.
-$2,000 to help cover travel expenses to and from out of state treatment centers with high success rates.
