Dell Jernigan Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
At around 1 am this morning our family received heartbreaking news, a loved one passed away. My uncle Dell  passed away from a massive heart attack. This is why I hate this “social distancing” thing so much. Whether it’s Covid or a heart attack, we can not hide ourselves away from the inevitable. Thankfully, we realized that months ago and my uncle was able to go out for one last Sunday dinner last week with his Mom (my gramma) and other family members he adored before he died. My heart hurts most for his wife, his children and my sweet “little mawmaw.” This was sudden and unexpected and unfortunately his family does not have the adequate financial resources to handle this alone. We are asking for any assistance from our friends and family that can help us move forward through this difficult time. It's always hard to lose a loved one and the financial stress doesn't make it easier. Please any donation would be greatly appreciated! Please add our family to your prayers.

When I think of Dell I think of his kind heart and his silly sense of humor. He never failed at calling his momma in the morning, he would call sometimes too early and she would be still getting her beauty sleep. He would call and share what he saw on the news that day or what the weather was like in Toms Brook, VA. He was a hardworking, old fashion gentlemen who loved his family very much.  You could call Dell and he would help you no questions asked. He loved Pasty Cline, his big old pickup truck, and his beautiful grandbabies.

"Don't remember me with sadness, don't remember with tears, remember all the laughter we've shared throughout the years. Now I am contented that my life it was worthwhile, knowing that I passed along the way I made somebody smile. When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. So please don't be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you each morning, noon and night."
