Faces of the Plainfield Horse Fire

UPDATE:  WE are DEVASTED to ALL LEARN   that based on the insurance policy: it's possible NO INSURANCE WILL BE DISTRIBUTED to the OWNERS that lost not only the LIVES of their beloved horses, there are NO dollars for BURIAL SERVICES, MEDICAL EXPENSES nor LOSS of TACK.  PLEASE consider sharing this update.  THANK YOU

July 5, 2017 will be a day that will NEVER be forgotten within the tight knit horse family. In Plainfield in the wee hours of the morning tragedy struck! Everyone's worst nightmare FIRE- even more so at a barn! A home for family members, companions, show horses and Therapy horses was burned to the ground. 18 horses perished. An image created in each persons mind praying their horses didn't suffer and passed early due to smoke. Reality sets in, what if they didn't.? The agony, the hopefulness that their beloved "family members" didn't feel pain is what we all pray to St. Francis for.  Here are just some of the family members faces. Not property. LIVES, burials and expenses that no one could imagine!!! Please help us help them and share the FACES that are lost.  We are mourning the losses of our horses here in Plainfield and will be using the collected donations to help defray the cremation and burial costs to the 18 horses that passed away in the dreadful fire.  We will be dividing the collected donations equally as they come in amongst those whose "family" members perished.
