The unbelievable happened on February 15, 2014. Dekitta had one more puppy to deliver. Hours went by and no movement from the puppy inside her so a C section was decided. This was Dekitta’s third litter and the decision was made to also spay her at the same time. She walked into the vet office on all four legs like a normal dog. When I went to pick her up, she was unable to recognize me and her rear legs were unable to move.
Dekitta has been one of the most special dogs in my breeding program as a hobbiest breeder. She has produce some very exceptional puppies: a couple Therapy dogs; SF PD future Police dog and many happy puppy owners. You can see Dekitta in her prime of life on Facebook; just type in Dekitta de Bonanza.
Dekitta is receiving therapy at Scout's House and Holistic Veterinary Care. Hyperbaric Oxygen, Acupuncture and Physical therapy.
Our animal chiropractor, Dr. Gary Wong has been treating Dekitta from day one. He has also treated her with cold laser and has prescribed a lot of wholesome supplements directed to nerves which are helping.
Dekitta is consistantly improving so that is why we feel we should keep moving forward. With your help, she will have a good chance to recover much of her ability to walk.
Please help Dekitta!
