Junior Shots FC Defib Fundraiser

Donation protected
During the Euro 2020 when Christian Eriksen collapsed, most of us watching feared the worst. Doctors were at his side within seconds of his collapse and were able to administer the best care available.
The chances of experiencing this type of cardiac episode are slim but they are not zero. That’s why it is important for grassroots football clubs to have procedures in place to react to such emergencies.
We don’t have the luxury of pitch side Doctors, but we can utilise the next best thing, a defibrillator.
A defibrillator is a device that delivers a sudden surge of electricity to the heart of someone who’s in cardiac arrest. It’s designed to ‘shock’ a human heart back into natural rhythm.
Public access defibrillators can be used by anyone, and the latest devices ‘talk’ to the user providing step-by-step instructions.
Every second counts when it comes to saving the life of someone in cardiac arrest.
With this in mind, we would like all teams to get behind us and help raise funds to buy two defibrillators to have on-site at our new pitch locations, Seale and the Sands.
We are looking to raise approx. £2k across the club to allow us to purchase these. When you break this down across 23 teams, we are looking for each team to raise approx. £86.
This can be raised by breaking the cost down by the number of players you have and asking for a donation or perhaps as a team you could organise a small sponsored event. Results of the fundraising efforts and photos etc could be shared to social media to connect with each other and to share our achievements and how close we are to our target.
We would be grateful if you could get behind this initiative and help raise as much money as quickly as possible. We are ideally looking to purchase these in October so please share this post with your parents and let’s get fundraising!

Many thanks
