Danielle's medical & family fund

I am writing this for my very good family friends John and Luz.  In early January, they took their youngest daughter Danielle to the opthamologist to have her vision and eye checked.   She sent them to the ER to have an MRI done to see what was going on.  They received a big shock when a tumor was found on her pituitary gland and hours later she was having brain surgery to have it removed.  The result of the biopsy - a very rare cancerous tumor called an 'intercranial germinoma', a type of germ cell tumor, which occurs in 0.7 per million children.  

Dee made it through surgery, and is slowly recovering.  She will need treatments of radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the cancer.  She is responding to commands and has physical and speech therapists who are working with her, and of course her family and friends who are by their side providing the TLC she requiries through this process.

As we all know, these medical treatments are very costly and will add up over time.  I know she has many people around the world who love and care for her, so let's all band together and help her fight this battle!
Any and all help we can provide Dee and her family to allow them to focues on her healing and recovery during this time would be much appreciated.
