Dee's Journey

As many of you may or may not know my beautiful sister has been in constant pain for months now, even the smallest of things have been a huge struggle, not even being able to walk her children to and from school and nursery and trying to support a family of 4 children all under 5 has been a daily challenge.

Knowing something wasn't right my sister has been constantly trying to seek medical advice and help to combat her pain, but at every hurdle has been let down, passed from specialist to specialist with no answers for her pain given.

After falling down the stairs again last week (after multiple falls previous), and being rushed in to our local hospital, she finally has some answers, albeit some scary ones.

Not only has she been failed time and time again by people who were too quick to dismiss her pain as psychological, but even when she was X-rayed 3 months ago, a said 'professional' missed a tumour which has been growing in a bone in her leg.

She is now faced with emergency surgery in Birmingham, where they will remove the tumour and graft a bone for her rib cage to replace it, this means not only a long recovery;  but also the worry that this tumour could in fact also be cancer, in which case she will need to start chemotherapy immediately.

Having 4 children, 2 newborn twins, and a 3 and 5 year old, means my sisters fiancé has no option but to take leave from work to support my sister during her recovery, meaning financially they will take a huge hit, not to mention the funding for them to be travelling back and fourth to Birmingham.

If I had the money I would give it to them, sadly I don't, but anything big or small you could donate would be so appreciated by all of us.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my little sisters story.

LATEST UPDATE- 30/08/2017

Yesterday was results day, and as the word cancer was uttered to our family, shock and heartbreak proceeded.
Throughout this journey we have tried to remain positive, we have fought and jumped every hurdle, despite being let down time and time again.

Yesterday my darling baby sister was diagnosed with cancer, how is this even possible?
I have never in my life been so heartbroken, I feel powerless and empty.
Driving the success of this page right now is the only practical and helpful thing I feel I can do, especially as I am just days away from expecting my first baby.

My sister is remarkable and I will not let her be taken away from me, the road ahead is scary and unknown for all of us, but I will walk by her side and hold her hand every step of the way.

Please please, share, donate, even help to encourage her. Your words help my family to remain strong. We have been overwhelmed by everyone's kindness and support so far.

We want to raise funds, to help support them throughout this journey, financial strain and stress is a huge concern for all of us amongst this entire process.
We want to create as much normality and stability for all of the children as we possibly can.

Dionne I love you so much. We WILL fight this.
