Deepti's fight against kidney failure

Donation protected
I never imagined I would find myself in this situation. Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and for me, it's been the battle against end-stage renal disease (ESRD). My journey started in 2016 when I came to the United States with big dreams and aspirations, like so many others. With an Engineering Degree from NSIT, Delhi and a Masters from Purdue Univeristy in Data Science, I was confident of making my mark in the the corporate world.

After navigating the uncertain H1B visa status and uncertain job market for 8, hard but eventful years, it seems fate had other plans for me.

In early April, I was diagnosed with kidney failure, not something you expect at the age of 35.
Suddenly, everything I had been striving for came to a screeching halt. I found myself spending 10 agonizing days in the hospital, grappling with the harsh reality of my condition. Endless doctor visits, countless tests, and the overwhelming uncertainty of what the future holds became my new reality.

I've been prescribed dialysis three times a week, a grueling and exhausting routine that leaves me physically drained and emotionally spent. Each session is a reminder of the fragility of life and the constant battle I face to stay alive till we find a matching kindey donor for me, the wait for which could be as long as 10 years in the state of California.

My condition has also forced me to take a step back from work, adding financial strain to an already difficult situation.

I've been very lucky to receive a ton of support from my immediate family and friends in the Bay area, and am using this platform to reach out to compassionate souls who may be reading this.
I am reaching out for help because I cannot face this challenge alone. The cost of my treatment, including dialysis sessions, medication, and ongoing medical care, has placed an immense financial burden on me even after my existing insurance coverage. As an H1B status employee, I am in a constant battle of surviving in a brutal job market just to keep my insurance benefits going.

With a heavy heart but a stong spirit, I am asking for your support in raising $100,000 to cover the expenses of my treatment. Your generous contribution will not only alleviate the financial strain on me but will also give me the chance to focus on my health and well-being without the constant worry of how I will navigate this situation.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to receiving the lifesaving treatment I desperately need. Your kindness and compassion during this challenging time mean more to me than words can express. Together, we can turn this tragedy into a story of hope and resilience. Together, we can give me a fighting chance for a second shot at life.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me on this journey. Your generosity and love gives me the strength to keep fighting, one day at a time.
