This is my nephew Declan. Declan is 16months old and loves graham crackers, playing with his big brothers and talking on the phone. On August 23, 2018 my sister Jen noticed Declan's eye had trouble focusing and was causing him pain. So, she took him in to see the eye doctor with his two older brothers. The eye doctor thought it could be a lazy eye, but due to some concerns scheduled her an appointment to see a specialist at Texas Children's Hospital. A few tests and doctors later, and they received the news no mother or father wants to hear...Declan has advanced cancer in both eyes, also known as Bilateral Retinoblastoma. Retinoblastoma is a rare eye cancer that begins in the back of the eye (retina). Declan has had a port inserted under his collarbone and has just begun chemo treatments. Declan is starting his journey, and my sister's family could really use your help. The hospital bills alone will cost $250,000+, not including the travel to and from the hospital, 3 night hospital stay, meals and daily parking fees.
