Deceased Mother and Unexpected Death of Father
Don protégé
There are times in life when we are left with more questions than answers. My name is Jerry, and on December 3rd, 2012, after spending four years doing her best to maintain quality of life to share with her four daughters, family, and friends, my wife Erica died of breast cancer. My four step-daughters moved from Oregon to their father's home in Washington where John continued to raise his daughters. On December 2nd, 2020, almost eight years to the day, John died unexpectedly at his home in Poulsbo, Washington.
Caitlin, Shannon, Allison, and Kelly are coping, at best, as they try and navigate the emotional and financial challenges tied to the death of their father. To lose our parents when we are adults is bad enough. For these girls to lose both parents at such a young age has placed them in a difficult situation. John provided for the four of them, yet was unable to save money for himself or his family.
This fundraiser is to try and offset some of the upcoming costs for funeral expenses, and with two of the girls still living at home, help supplement living expenses as well as prepare the home for sale over the next few months. These expenses will exceed the fundraised amount, though the donations will provide significant relief to these kids. They have been through a lot these past eight years, and for them to witness acts of kindness from family, friends, community, and humanity will be a blessing and provide them with the opportunity to give back in the form of sincere gratitude.
Thank you so much for your support. Please pray for the girls and pass this story along to whomever you think can help. I pray we reach the fundraiser goal quickly to show these kids that the world is filled with kind and loving people who genuinely care and are thankful to be given the opportunity to help.
Sincerely,
Jerry
