Helping out friends- medical crisis

Our good friends Dave and Debie are going thru some tough times and I set this up to try and help them out a bit financially. Dave and Deb are really family to many of us. Debie was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is being treated by MSK - Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. Dave has been by her side throughout chemo and there have been some complications as of late, but hoping for the best. As you would expect Deb cannot work due to the illness and Dave is between jobs - and cannot get back to work right away as he is helping Debie and making sure she gets the best treatment given the complications. Their funds are getting a bit thin, so the money we raise will be used by Dave and Debie for local travel / expenses and treatment expenses not covered by medical insurance.
