Deborah Parker Houston Flood Victim

My name is Dawn my best friend Deborah Parker lived in Richmond Texas with her 87 year old mother. . . until Hurricane Harvey hit.  Thank God her mother Dolly wasnt home at the time the hurricane hit she had gone to visit her son in New York.  She was actually on vacation with a friend at the time of the storm.  By the grace of God and good friends when the water receeded the house was being gutted.  By the time she got home she had no walls, no floors, no furniture and unfortunately no flood insurance.  Im painfully aware that there are people out there with alot less than ourselves but I would be forever grateful for any amount that anyone could spare to help me try to put our lives back together.  She has already submitted her request to FEMA but the protocol is to first apply for a small business loan.  She is fortunate enough to probably be able to qualify for the loan but that would mean a 2nd lien on the house. She /they still need to be able to meet their other needs. Mom is 87 with medical needs and care that medicare just doesn't help  with. Deborah and Mom were fine before Harvey.  I am trying to just help her  keep their house /home and get back to a stable environment that they both need.  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.  

She has never asked for money from strangers and its excruciatingly painful (she is actually put out with me for asking but finally agreed) but the projected cost to put her home together not including furnishings and personal belongings is $50,000.00.   If you are not moved to help us please help someone that was affected by Harvey.  We are all completely devastated.  And please pray for the lives lost in the storm.  Every little bit and every prayer will help!
