Deb McDade's Medical Fund

We wanted to take a moment to share Deb’s story and ask for your help.  Last weekend Deb was involved in an accident that has put her in the hospital and will require a lot of time, support and money (to pay related medical costs) for her to heal and return home to Bill.  During a barbecue a “microstorm” blew up with extremely high winds and caused a tree next to the gathering to fall onto the tent where the party was gathering.  In less than 5 minutes Deb’s life changed and now she is battling her injuries to recover.  Deb was pinned between the tree and picnic table she was sitting at and sustained many broken bones (face, ribs, ankle, etc.), a facial laceration and concussion.  While Deb is currently stable, awake and alert, she will need at least one surgery (if not more) and will need our love and support to help her recover and come home.  The first surgery is tentatively scheduled for Friday the 18th.  As you probably know medical care is very expensive and even with health insurance there are deductibles, equipment and physical therapy charges to get through that are not covered by insurance.  That list doesn’t even begin to address Bill trying to manage the homestead, their animals and still be at Deb’s side whenever possible to support her during her extended hospital stay, which will add travel costs.  If you can help with a monetary donation in any amount, that would be wonderful and greatly appreciated.  If not, don’t despair, as there are other ways you can help and support Deb and Bill.  One way is to pass this message on to others so they too can be given the opportunity to help out.  At this time Deb is at Bassett Hospital and we are sure would appreciate short visits and cards to let her know we are thinking about her and wish her well.
