Dean Metcalf's Fundraiser

Dean Metcalf, Chaplain for the CMA, was in a serious accident on May 10, 2014. While in a rest area in Minooka, Ill, preparing to pass out IDOT (Illinois Dept. of Transportation)literature on Motorcycle Awareness, an out of control vehicle hit him at a speed of approx.45 mph. He was thrown on the hood of the vehicle and only through the grace of God has survived.
He spent 8 days in critical condition and so far has been in the hospital for a total of 7 weeks. Dean's right leg was amputated and he has already had 6 surgeries on his left leg to try to repair and reconstruct the damaged area.
The driver of the vehicle was under-insured and Dean has maxed out the medical benefits of one of his insurance policies. He still needs to be fitted for a prosthesis and there is much more rehab in the future for him before he will be able to walk. Currently, he is wheelchair bound and healing from the many surgeries and injuries that he has sustained.
The medical bills are mounting and my brother needs your help.
There will be a benefit held on September 21, 2014. The day starts with a motorcycle Run. Pre-Registration for the Run can be done online. (Please send me a message and I will send you the link for pre-registration.) Everyone who has pre-registered will be entered into a drawing for a free gift. Staging & Registration the day of the event is from 9am - 11am. at the Tinley Park Fire Training Tower 7840 W. 183RD. ST., TINLEY PARK.
The Run will end at the fundraiser event to be held at the VFW Post #5788 1026 E. 9TH ST.LOCKPORT, IL. from 12noon - 6pm. ALL ARE WELCOME. If you were not on the Run the general admission is $20/person or $35/couple.
