Deaf Studies Trip to Italy!

I was given the opportunity to travel to Siena, Italy this summer for a study abroad trip. During this three-week Deaf Studies Program trip I will be learning Italian Sign Language and Italian Deaf culture. This would be a great opportunity to be able to achieve, but the cost of it is quite unbearable for myself to pay for alone. During this trip I will be able to expand my previous linguistic and cultural knowledge through hands-on engagement guided by experienced faculty and staff. The linguistic exchange begins in the formal classroom setting, the week before we leave. This experience will strengthen and hone my linguistic and cultural competency in ways that will benefit me professionally and personally. These unique courses in Deaf Studies promote a greater understanding of the diversity of Deaf Cultures and a facility with Italian Sign Language.  This experience can be transformative and being able to lessen the cost would make this experience more enjoyable. Being able to be a part of this program would be amazing and with your help you can make it possible!
