Alexa Ewing's Swing

I am starting a gofundme account for the awesome Ewing Family here in Mckinney, TX.
They are a sweet family of 4 that we go to church with and now go to school with at Eddins Elementary!
They have two wonderful daughters, Alexa and Nora.
Our beautiful friend Alexa was born with an extremely rare genetic deletion which makes it difficult to do many activities that most of us take for granted. Regardless of this, she has accomplished many other milestones, that because of the rarity of her condition, were not even sure would be possible!

She has a beautiful spirit and smile and she can light up a room with her sweet presence.
One of the things she loves the most is playing at the park! This past spring my two girls and I got to spend a fun day playing with Alexa at a wonderful park in Frisco that was built with special equipment so that all children can enjoy playing there and we had so much fun just watching her have so much fun!
The girl LOVES to swing!!
Tracie usually walks in the evenings to their neighborhood playground with the girls but there isn't much Alexa can do there because she can't use normal swings. There are parks in and around McKinney that have adaptive swings but It's hard for Tracie to get Alexa in and out of the car constantly so it takes a little more motivation to go places to just swing. Anyway, with some encouragement, Tracie contacted their HOA. Long story short through lots of correspondence, they had their board meeting this week. They approved installation of an adaptive swing but to only cover 50% of the cost. They will need to raise $335.58. However, they said they will not install until Spring 2015. Tracie was most disappointed about that because they would use it so much in the fall and winter. When asked about why the spring the HOA said it has to do with finances they said they were sure they could push it through for the fall if Tracie could raise all the money. That's $671.16.. This is going to be something Alexa is really, really going to enjoy. There aren't a lot of things that she enjoys for an extended period of time but she could swing all day if they let her! I know as friends of Alexa this is VERY possible to do! Soo many people LOVE Alexa and want to help so I am setting up this account to fund this special gift for Alexa because I can just see the smile on her face when she walks up to her community park and sees her special adaptive swing for the first time! If by chance, there are extra funds raised for her, they will go into a savings account to help pay for her wonderful heroes camp and horse therapy that she LOVES so much!
