Hi everyone! My son Blaine was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2006. He was 3 years old. He is now in remission and doing well. We love Convoy and have taken part in the Convoy in the "Camp Quality Families Bus" that travels in the Convoy each year, but this year my beautiful baby boy set me a challenge... "Mum why don't you ride a motorbike in Convoy? But it has to be the LEAD BIKE!"
So I got my motorbike licence, bought a motorbike and here we are! I WANT LEAD MOTORBIKE position in this years i98Fm Camp Quality Convoy and I need your help to get the highest bid to win LEAD BIKE!
My son endured 2 years 4 months of chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirates, lumbar punctures, blood transfusions and way too many needles to count. We came close to losing him many times over and I'm so grateful that I still have him here with me now.
So when he came up with this idea of his mum riding lead motorbike, I jumped on it.
Camp Quality has given me unwavering support, generosity and endless amounts of love for 8 years now.
For every horrific memory I have of watching my son fight cancer, Camp Quality have created a beautiful happy memory.
Camp Quality has given me as a mother the precious gift of my sons laughter and endless smiles, something I longed for while he battled cancer.
Camp Quality has given my daughter Tia (who was only 11 months old when Blaine was diagnosed) the prevcious childhood she also lost because her mum was living in Sydney Children's Hospital with her big brother, while she grew up living with grandparents,, aunts and uncle, only seeing her mum when her brother wasn't too critically ill.
Camp Quality has given my children back the childhood that cancer stole away from them.
Please help me by donating to my cause! I want to raise some big dollars this year and bid for LEAD MOTORBIKE in this years Convoy. My son fought hard to stay with me, to beat cancer, now I want to fight hard and bring in some big money for the most loved and cherished charity, Camp Quality.
