Help Save Winnie

Donation protected
Our beloved family dog, Winnie, was struck by a car October 29th in front of our home as my three older girls watched. My girls were coming in the front door from the school bus and Winnie darted out, probably chasing after something she had been watching out the window. The car that hit her did not stop and my thirteen year old ran out to be by her side. Luckily there were witnesses that were kind enough to stop and help us get her in my car so we could drive her to the vet. Once she was stable we drove her to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital on Liberty road where she will remain until she is ready to come home. Although she has no broken bones or organ damage she has suffered head trauma and seizures through the night that have been controlled by medication. The vet is cautiously optimistic but the next three days are critical. Sadly, the seizures have dramatically increased the price of treatment and she will still need surgery to close a rather large wound on her side. We have been to visit and she reacts to our touch and the sound of our voices so I know she is in there! If anyone is able to and willing to help in any way we will be forever grateful and so will Winnie! Our family is not complete without her.  Thank you!
