Desiree's Barn and Feed Fund
Donation protected
On August 21st, 2014, the barn belonging to Desiree Hutchins-Muha and James Muha, the home of their five horses Red, Joseph, Mike, Maya and Mr. Ed, was destroyed by fire. Desiree had recently spent most of her savings on hay to feed the horses for the winter, which was a total loss in the fire. In addition to the hay, the family lost all of their tack, grain, generators, tools, tractor, dirt bikes, compressors, and farm equipment. Also destroyed was Maya's hay steamer, used to keep Maya's hay free of dust, as she suffers from severe heaves. The horses are the center of Desiree's life, as I (her veterinarian) can attest to. Her and James are heartbroken over the loss of their beautiful barn, but more importantly, are concerned about how they will be able to care for their wonderful set of rescue horses as the winter rapidly approaches. Any donations made will help pay for shelter and food for Desiree and Jim's sweet and deserving horses.
