Hi friends!
I am creating this site for my mom because she has been struggling, and a little financial assistance would help immensely. Here's the story-
As many of you know we lost a very important part of our family in May 2012. My brother was a brilliant light, a mediator, the calm in the storm between my mother and me, an amazing friend, and an all around inspiring person. Our family and Nathan's friends were absolutely devastated by this loss. But we pushed on, we treaded water, we sunk into our bad days, we rose on our good days. For anybody that has had a loss of this nature, you understand the depth of the grieving process and the length of time (if it can really even be measured) it takes to feel even a tiny bit normal again. I have read and come to understand that losing a child is one of the greatest tragedies a person can live through. It's like having a part of your soul ripped away violently. I can't even imagine what this is like. Unfortunately, my mother and father can.
My mom is a woman who always puts others before herself. Growing up, she always put my brother and my needs before her own. This included staying at a job that provided quite well, but had her feeing miserable. Nathan and I never understood why she kept at it. But it was to make sure we had all of our basic needs met, and then some. We had no idea how lucky we were. (Now that I am returning to school and paying for it on my own, I am beyond thankful that I had no school debt up to this point. Love you mom!!!)
So after Nathan's untimely death, my mom remained at this job. It was comfortable, she needed to pay bills, etc etc...
During a routine review with her managers several months after the biggest loss of her life, one of her managers asked why she was so sad all the time, and shouldn't she "get over it."
She quit 2 weeks later.
FINALLY!
Mom took the time she needed, found a job she loves, and is trying to continue about her life. Unfortunately, the job doesn't pay well. Even though she's been looking for a new job, applying and interviewing, nothing has been offered to her. While I have no doubt that my mom will find a great, better paying job that respects her, she is in need of some assistance.
As of the past few weeks, her home owners association has demanded the houses be repainted by the end of the year costing $1200 (I do believe she got a small extension on time). And with the big storm in Phoenix this past week, part of her AC has been damaged costing $300.
Any little bit will help! And if you can't offer financial assistance, my mom could sure use some encouragement and love!
Thank you all so much!
XOXOXOXOXOXOX
