Jesse's Team

This is Jesse. She is 17. She is a kind, generous, beautiful soul. Jesse is a twin, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a niece and a friend to many. She enjoys drawing and painting, craft projects, writing, cooking and spending time with her sister. Jesse is fighting for her life. 
While her and her sister were driving a friend to work, they were in a car accident. Jesse was in the back and took the full impact in the accident. She is at Yale in very critical condition. She has a traumatic brain injury, a brain bleed and swelling, a fractured pelvis, some broken vertebrae and internal bleeding. Jesse is in a medically induced coma and the doctors are fighting to save her life. 
 Jesse spent over a month in the hospital last fall. She had just caught up on her missed schoolwork so that she could graduate this year and was ready to go back to work. She was looking forward to attending college. 
Her parents have mediocre health insurance and have depleted the bulk of their savings from the hospitalization in the fall.  They were just starting to get back on their feet. The entire family is pulling together but we are asking for your help. No parent should ever have to choose between staying by their critically ill daughters' side while she is fighting for her life or going to work to make ends meet. In the meantime, the bills will be piling up and daily living expenses, gas, and hospital parking will quickly eat up what resources they have left.
