Kicking Breast Cancers Butt

Donation protected

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is Elizabeth Potts Urquijo. I'm a mother of two beautiful children. Liam age 6, Lilliana age 2. A step mother to two wonderful boys. Alex age 17 and Anthony age 15. I'm also a wife to Louis, a daughter and a sister. 2017 Started out like any normal  year until february when i found a lump in my breast. At the age of 32 years old I was diagnosed with stage 3B grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. I felt like the rug was pulled out from underneath me. But there was an extra kicker- my breast cancer is classed as triple negative, which means it does not respond to targeted treatments. This type of breast cancer is not fully understood by doctors and is a rare form and very aggresive type of cancer. Effecting only 15-20% of breast cancer patients. There is currently no wonder drugs available for TNBC. Some TNBC responds to chemotherepy while others do not. The chances of of reoccurence are higher then other forms of breast cancer usually effecting the lungs, liver and brain. After meeting with my awesome team of doctors and discussing treatment options, we decided to hit it hard with aggresive dose dense chemo. 16 rounds of chemo followed by mastectomy surgery and depending on the outcome radiation as well. I'm fighting the worst battle of my life so I can watch my family and kids grow, graduate, get married and have babies of their own. Raising a family of 6 in todays world is a struggle on its own. Then add massive medical bills on top of everyday life and it seems impossible. As a stay at home wife and mother our family depends on my wonderful husbands income. Even with working all possible overtime available, bills are still piling up. As a family we will still push forward regardless of the outcome. I hope to raise enough to help pay down medical bills and also put away enough incase treatment doesnt work. Any and all donations are appreciated. Even if its only a tank of gas to get to treatments or fix my dying mini van. If a donation isnt possible your prayers help too. Thank you for reading my story and for your support. God bless you and yours.
