We are making PPE, DC Face Shields for our local front-line health workers.
About us:
Dougan Contracts is a local family business based in Bangor, Northern Ireland. We are a specialist joinery company in operation since 1986. We supply specialist joinery & fit-out services to architects, main contractors and interior designers alike.
In the fight against COVID-19 we have repurposed our company to help fight the virus for our community - as we have the skill-sets and machinery needed to make desperately needed PPE.
The Mission:
DC Face Shields are being produced and distributed to our local frontline health-workers free of charge, here in Northern Ireland.
The shields are manufactured by our team of collaborators alongside our many contacts throughout the area.
Our friends at AG Electrical have very kindly offered to help distribute our face shields.
So far we have chipped in our own money in the making of these face shields.
AND NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP!
How you CAN help:
With a continuing high volume of requests for this Personal Protective Equipment we would appreciate any monetary donation you could spare. This will enable us to keep a steady supply chain of the necessary material used to make these face shields, and keep the consistency of production at a high! Ultimately getting these out to our health workers, who need them.
As we all know this is an unprecedented time, and an ever-evolving situation. Northern Ireland is only beginning to see the impacts of this pandemic and we want to equip our fantastic local front-line health workers with the PPE they need, in order to keep themselves, and us, safe.

If you are able to provide or donate any of out required materials, please do get in touch. We are urgently in need of a steady supply chain of the below materials.
-A3 acetate or a roll of acetate at 200gsm or higher.
-25mm or 20mm white elastic webbing.
-Unused cardboard boxes.
