On Friday morning, August 15, my brother Chris was in a single vehicle car crash that left him in critical condition.
He had no identification on him, but had a card with a name on it. The social worker used #Facebook to try and find out who he was and who to call.
It took her an hour and a half, but she found me at work!
Today, a week later, he is still in the ICU at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is expected to be there at the hospital for a month or more.
Our sister, Ginger, needs to be here. She lives out of state and is self employed. That means she has no accrued vacation or paid time off. If she doesn't work, she doesn't get paid. I know that Chris needs the support and she wants to be here to help. I want to be able to get her a plane ticket and cover her income for a few weeks.
