Help DB beat stage 4 colon cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dajuan and unfortunately I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. My journey started a little after Thanksgiving, I was experiencing a lot of pain in my abdomen. I went to my primary care doctor who ordered me a CT scan. I got the results of that scan on December 11th (Right before my 40th Birthday December 14th) and it showed that my appendix was really inflamed. So I rushed to the hospital and had to have an emergency appendectomy. The doctor who did my appendectomy (Dr. Husted) said my appendix looked “weird” and sent it out for testing after being removed. 10 days later (December 21st) I had a follow up appointment but I was still experiencing the same excruciating pain in my abdomen that I had before the appendectomy. Well the doctor came in and told me they found cancer in my appendix and there is a tumor lodged in the right side of my colon that needs to be removed immediately! (The scariest thing I have ever heard up to that point) So they scheduled me for a colonoscopy on December 28th to make sure there wasn’t cancer anywhere else in my colon and thank God there wasn’t. My surgery was the next day on the 29th and they split my stomach open to remove the tumor. The doctor said the tumor was large and pressing against my abdominal wall also wrapped in my small intestine causing the excruciating pain I was feeling. When I got out of that surgery I was in soooo much pain it was unbearable! But God brought me through I stayed in the hospital for a few days and was released January 1st upon my release I couldn’t really do much for myself and I have my family to thank for taking great care of me. My next step in my journey was getting my staples (20) removed from my stomach and was scheduled to meet with my oncologist for a consultation. There I heard some more scary words and that was I had stage 3b colon cancer and i have some spots on my liver. I will have to go for a PET scan on February 1st to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else which means I will be in stage 4. With this diagnosis, I have a 0% chance of avoiding chemotherapy which is really messing with my brain but I put my faith in the Lord and know he will bring me through! But with this disease and chemotherapy I am unable to work and I am racking up a lot of medical bills. I ask if you find it in your heart to donate whatever you can, that will be a true blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, I am usually a private person but hopefully this will bring some awareness to this disease and go get checked especially if you are 40 and up! I know with my Faith, Family and Friends we will beat this and one day this will be part of my testimony! Thank you and I love you! #FkCancer #DBStrong
