David's Southeast-Asian Mission

Tensions in our world are escalating. Ideological factions are at each other’s throats, natural disasters rage, violence is climaxing, and the world is burdened by the turmoil. As a 22 year old Christian, on the cusp of graduation, I refuse to look at the broken world around me with hopelessness, pessimism, and inaction as the enemy would like.

            In conclusion of my undergraduate program, I am privileged to be part of a leadership team that is set to mobilize a team of passionate young-adult collegiates to South-East Asia for my campus’s annual mission trip! This will be the fourth month-long mission’s trip I have had the honor of serving on through Agora College, previous adventures including Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos. It is humbling to be presented with the opportunity to take my experience and passion for the suffering back to South-East Asia. We partner with seasoned veterans and have accomplished some amazing work, including English tutoring, children’s education, infrastructure maintenance, and everything else in between.

            The specific location of this year’s trip is still being prayerfully considered by campus staff, and we invite you to join with us as we finalize our decisions and begin careful preparations for our departure in March 2018. For my section of the trip, I am to raise $1,750 to cover flights and travel related expenses. If less than 25 people graciously contributed $75, these expenses would be more than covered. These trips provide not only an opportunity to make an invaluable impact on another people group, but they also help to inspire and challenge the collegiates on the team to continue to invest their lives in something bigger than themselves. I am one such collegiate, and I hope that if not through financial contribution, you would partner with my team and I in prayer as we are led to the nations!
