Davids Final Farewell Costs & Celebration of Life

Dear Friends, Family, and Our Loving Community,

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of David G.F. Smith Jr., at the young age of 54 years old. He lost his battle to advanced terminal Lung Cancer on Sunday 12/5/2021. Unfortunately, our family didn’t get much time with him before he peacefully left us. For those of you that knew him, you knew he was a fighter. David fought til the very end - so much so, that none of us thought it was the end just yet.

 

They will tell you that you should prepare for death, but death is inevitable. No one is too good to beat it. Well David deserved to. He brightened the lives of so many with his infectious laugh, quirky sense of humor, and amazing work ethic.

 

Heaven truly gained an angel to be reckoned with - in the best way.

 

As you can imagine, our family was not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with a proper funeral service. Our family is reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support. We would love nothing more than to give David a sensible service, but cannot do so alone.

 

So you know where your donation will be used, we are planning a modest but proper ceremony. Every donation will get us closer to putting David to rest peacefully where he belongs, and honoring his life.

As you can see our goal is $3000.00, and we hope to raise this amount by 12/17/21. We appreciate the kindness of your donation during this very difficult time. Ms. Alice Conover will be in charge of final expenses.

 

We want to thank you deeply for taking the time to read about our beloved David. He was a son, brother, father, and a member of our family that we are so devastated to have lost. We also thank you for your prayers & condolences.
