Help David's accident recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday 9/15 David Mello was on a motorcycle ride when he was struck by a car. The accident left him with a crushed foot, which had many broken bones and a crushed artery, restricting blood flow; 4 broken ribs; multiple ligament and muscle injuries; and multiple fractures in his pelvis. He is stable and in the hospital, and has had several surgeries already. His foot has been repaired with good blood flow, and his pelvic surgery was successful.
It's going to be a long road to recovery for David and his partner Melissa. He won't be able to walk for at least 3 months, maybe more, and will likely be in Physical Therapy for the next 12 months or more. After leaving the hospital he will still be bed ridden, and need to rent a special hospital bed, wheelchair, and other equipment. Melissa will spending countless hours taking care of David in their home throughout his recovery. We are trying to raise money to help David and Melissa with their medical bills as well as all of the other expenses that come with it (Lost wages, Physical Therapy, Equipment rental, etc.)
Those of you who know David know that he is one of the most kind hearted and generous people you will meet. In a single moment, his life changed forever. We are asking friends, loved ones, and gracious strangers to donate what they can so we can help David through this difficult moment. Thank you for taking the time to hear David's story.
