Hello Everyone,
My name is Mariah and I have started this campaign for my dad. May 2nd was the day my dad was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer. It is still the most agonizing sentence to get out. He is an incredible father, husband, brother and son. My dad is the hunting, fishing, hiking, outdoorsman machine that thrives on the beauty of this earth. Cancer is inside him but his cancer is not defining him. Through his journey of the most aggressive chemo for his cancer, he is persevering and through the grace of God he still finds peace in his love for the outdoors. As you can see, cancer hasn't stopped him from bringing in those fish! My dad is strong but his fight is not yet over. The silver lining is that his cancer is operable. It is VERY rare that pancreatic cancer patients hear this news and to us, it is truly a gift from God. My dad has been given the chance to fight for his life, his family, and friends. As he is busy putting up a relentless battle within his body, I am here asking you to join us in his journey. Medical bills are incredibly stressful for our family and is now a new burden we have to face. We are awaiting his surgery in September and hope that this difficult time will lead us to a victorious surgery and a lifetime full of new memories with him. If you are wondering what you can do to help, we graciously ask for any donations. All funds that are raised will be going to the countless medical bills that are accumulating now and in the future.
