David Lee Sharp was a friend, family, coach and inspiration to the community. David’s dedication to building strong, young men in the community lead him to volunteer as parks and recreation boys basketball coach and assistant football coach at the local middle school. David sometimes tutored some of his players on the football team to ensure the players maintained good grades. David later became a dedicated coach of an AAU basketball team, Kings Basketball Club .
On May 31, 2017 David was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and CH failure. He vowed to his Family to fight Cancer. When he was later told that his cancer was terminal, David fought just as he had promised for his 4 boys and wife. For 4 months, David tried different treatments where he spent a lot of time in the hospital, much of that time spent in ICU. David lost his ability to walk but still attempted physical therapy as he was determined to fight cancer. On September 16, 2017 David Lee Sharp loss the fight of his life.

We are looking to raise funds to help David’s wife, Annette Clark Sharp, with funeral and medical expenses. All money raised will go towards the funeral and medical costs that were not covered by insurance.
