Hi everyone, a lot of you will have now heard about David’s sudden passing.
he passed away on Sunday 26th February.
his funeral will be on the 13th March at 11am at William Fraser and son Culduthel then onto the crem.
David was a well known character, always had a smile and always plenty time for a blether.
Member of several groups, and his passion for motorbikes especially Harley Davidsons, never once missing Thunder in the Glens every year it was on. Got himself involved in disability rights, and access and not to forget his stint running for council in order to make things better. Helped out many other people and other charities and appeared in many newspapers.
David suffered many things in his life, fought many health battles, sepsis 3 times, and he still always had a smile dispute it.
his lifelong disabilities never once held him back, if he wanted to do it, he would.
David was never wealthy, he got by, and did the best he could, and very rarely complained.
His needs always had to come first before any chance of been able to save for anything, and why today I am putting this up.
I feel embarrassed at having to do so, and ask folk for help, and hope I never have to again, and have realised a lot of folk are planning on paying their respects for David, I would love to see the place packed out, and not enough room for everyone, as a family we have been in touch with some of the biker groups he was part of, that he gets the send off he would loved to have seen for someone else.
David was one never for attention, but one I know he will love the fact he will be escorted by bikers, and enough that will stop the traffic.
If he is looking down I can just hear him saying look at that I stopped the traffic again.
Trying to raise some funds in order to give this character a send off he would love. Pay towards some of his funeral costs and his wake.
I could be here all day writing about him, and the things we did, the memories we made, and all the cars in our family we grew up with, testing each other with do you remember the registration of that car, to his achievements in school, the courses he attended at college, and the last year of his school where his health was so bad, he was hardly able to go, but he still got better exam results than me.
The last thing I can do for my brother David, is he makes his last ride out in style, and one that won’t be forgotten.
