David McMurray Hip Replacement

Since 2011, my brother David has had both knees and his right hip replaced.  He is now facing a 4th surgery to replace his left hip whihch has deteriorated rapidly in the last few months.  Thankfully, David has private health insurance which will cover the bulk of the cost of this surgery.  However, his annual out-of-pocket share will be $6,500.  For his prior surgeries, the hospital required this to be paid upfront on the day of the surgeries. 

David has been an independent sales representative for a company here in California for 5+ years but the company recently reduced its sales force, including David.  With his health issues, David has not been able to secure a new position and has run through his savings.

I am setting up this GoFundMe account to request donations from friends and family to assist David in covering his out-of-pocket bogey of $6,500 so that he can get this surgery.  He is in quite a bit of pain at this point and the surgery is scheduled for August 14th.
