David Liggio's Surviving Family

I need your help! Maddie Liggio is my son's girlfriend of 6 years, David Liggio is her father. Coach David Liggio was murdered Friday morning on March 3, 2023 in his own home at the hands of his son. David was actively seeking help for his son who suffered with mental illness for years.

Coach Liggio, a middle school Physical education teacher and track coach was beloved by his students, his student's parents, his fellow teaching staff and mostly by his only daughter, Maddie.

David and I attended the same church, so I had the honor of seeing his face light up when his daughter would see him in the church parking lot, or foyer, or when we all sat together on occasion as an extended family.

Our family, David's family is shocked and grief-stricken by this tragedy. There are no words to describe the horror of this nightmare sweet Maddie, Stephen and David's family is walking through at this moment. Stephen, my son, and Maddie, who is a clerk at a local department store and full time student, certainly never expected to have to navigate paying for expenses such as forensic crime scene clean-up, mortgage payments, car notes, attorney's for herself and the estate and the financial hardship of having to take time off from their jobs. There are still utilities to pay at Maddie's childhood home and so much more we haven't even begun to tabulate.

The last thing this young girl needs to do as she begins this long journey without her daddy (who always took care of everything for his little girl) is to have to worry about financial problems.

Please take a moment to prayerfully consider donating to a fund to help her navigate the next several months to a year or more... as this will be a very long journey with several hard milestones to walk through like court dates as her brother stands trial for his actions, probate court, and much more.
