David Streeten Scholarship Fund

The Streeten/Tammaro family is putting together a scholarship in memory of David Streeten, and are accepting donations to ensure his legacy lives on. Our goal is to create a scholarship that will be presented to a deserving high school senior each year who is going on to play lacrosse in college. David's friends and family knew him as a person who battled adversity head-on, which will be one of the key attributes of the scholarship recipients.

David grew up in Corning, NY and was a stand-out for Corning East High School on the lacrosse field. He was recruited by SUNY Binghamton and received an athletic scholarship to play Division 1 lacrosse there. After his freshman year of college, he sustained a career-ending traumatic brain injury. Against all odds, David returned to college and assumed a role as a student-assistant coach for his lacrosse team. After college, David coached lacrosse at the Division 1, 2 and 3 levels before moving to Texas.

David began coaching for Allen High School 8 years ago. During his time there, he received Assistant Coach of the Year honors, started a summer box league, and put in a lot of time building the youth program in Allen. He also ran his own lacrosse lessons and coached travel lacrosse on the side. David touched many young lives both on and off the field throughout his time in Texas.

We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the lacrosse community. We thank you in advance for any contributions that will help David continue to have an impact on young lives.
