I am the nurse for David Gowers Son liam. Liam has Downs syndrome, David's son Liam requires a lot of attention in requires in-home Nursing David is like a grandson to me he's always been helpful when I have been in need. After David and Chris's accident I felt obligated to try to help by starting this fundraiser for them both to help pay their bills such as....

june 30th, 2020 at approximately  4:15 p.m. David Gower and Chris Wilson stopped on the side of I-95 to help a man change his tire. This simple act of kindness has now devastated both of their worlds. A man struck them both while changing the tire, leaving David and Chris with severe injuries. They are very lucky to be alive. David has a broken hip, 5 neck fractures and his back is broken in 3 places. Chris has already undergone his first of many surgeries for extensive injuries, including a broken hip.

They are both the sole financial providers for their families. David has a 21 month old son with Down Syndrome and extensive medical needs, as well as a 9 month old daughter.
Chris' wife is expecting twins any time now.
They are auto mechanics, and will both be out of work for a long time. Estimates have been anywhere from 6 months to over a year.

The driver of the vehicle who struck them had only the legal minimum of liability insurance. While there are other avenues to explore for the rest of the medical bills, the families are asking for help to get by over the next few months.

I have made David Gower the beneficiary. money will be transferred from GoFundMe to his bank account and divided in half between the two parties injured. To  include himself and Chris Wilson
