Tenacious D - Help David Today!

Let's start with the important stuff! This is David, and he had his car stolen while he was asleep in his bed last night. This picture was taken in his car, pride beaming from his face, as he had been saving away to be able to buy it himself. 

Here's why that matters...

David's story of tenacity:

David came into this world with persistence, 2 months early, and ready to fight for his life. Over his 19 years, he's battled with 16 years of seizures, feeding tubes, and let's just call it a mountain of medical difficulties. Through homeschool, he graduated high school, and began working, and saving for a car. David has worked this past year at Sprouts, living with his supportive family, and earning promotions at work along the way. Due to the business's financial climate, Sprouts recently had to cut his hours back, causing David to look for opportunities elsewhere. He starts his new job at Auto Zone tomorrow... and has now had his life flipped upside down, as his car, which is not only his means for travel, but the possession representing all of his hard work, has been ripped out from under him.

When I found out from his mother this morning, what had happened, as she was filling out police reports and driving around, looking endlessly for the car, I knew we had to help. 

David's story is one we can all get behind and support. His mother described him as someone that always overcomes. When I first heard his story, the word that came to me was tenacity. Tenacity - persisting in existence; not easily dispelled. That's David; and as a mother of young sons, that's who I want my boys looking up to. David is our future. 

Now, let's get behind him and support him today. Let's raise enough money to get David a car, (and maybe an uber account for tomorrow!)
