Dave Ivey's memorial and help for family to move

My dad’s life support is being turned off today after a 15 month battle with his health.  Due to bills, and now the loss of his income we could lose the roof over our head, and need help with my dad’s burial, medical bills, and now our own bills we have fallen behind on trying to keep up. 

Since he has been in the hospital he fought off Cancer, A bad liver, which he later fell and broke open in October when he was a guest at Ghoulardifest.  He stayed in Columbus for Six weeks at first, with us stuck staying at a hotel to be there for him. We were able to get him back to Michigan and  since then he has been fighting to get out of the hospital. It has been a roller coaster, we have had our ups and downs, and he even finally made it a Nursing Home/Therapy place to try to get better.. On July 21st he went through Cardiac Arrest twice, which left him with bad brain damage, and doing in what was left with his liver.. Everything is failing on him. We got a call yesterday from the hospital letting us know he can never wake up, and if he did he would be in a vegetation state.. That is not living, and we can’t have our dad going through this.. plus his system is closing down. 

We are so broken right now..   It is going to be so difficult not to have him in our lives, but at least he will no longer be  in pain..   

I am so lucky to have had him as my dad.. he was a great artist and a huge inspiration to me... having a hard time writing this.

I need to help my mom,  with the loss of my dad, his income which was the largest amount in our household will be gone, we can’t keep up, we need help to get out of this spot, and to sell the house that we originally bought to try to save us.   The house is unfinished, and we can’t afford to fix it, so we need to let it go, we still need to pay summer taxes on it too..  So after a long time of trying to raise the money through work, and art commissions, we are out of time..  

I am posting this for help for my dad’s burial, or cremation, memorial service, medical bills, bills and help to get us back on our feet after what we have gone through. 

Any little help means a ton to us..
