Daughter Struck by Car - Lost Wages

My daughter was struck by a vehicle on August 25th while standing along the road in her neighborhood. She suffered a badly broken right arm and will not be able to work for many months. She also cares for four children ages 9 thru 2 -- as does her hard-working husband.
This ordeal is going to wreak havoc with their finances. She hates the idea of asking financial help from others, but it's become quite clear they need some assistance.
I've tried to estimate how much they'll need to squeak by until she can go back to work. It's very difficult to know, and I didn't want to pick some crazy number.  Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated.
