Daryl's Give Bucket Challenge

We are the Voong kids Bradyn, Titus & Judah, and we want to tell you a little story. We get an allowance each week for doing our chores and our mommy and daddy helped us set up a 'GIVE' money jar. This is where we put part of our allowance aside each week to donate to someone else who needs it more than we do. We have been saving for a few weeks now and finally decided who we want to donate our money to; meet our good friend Daryl!
Daryl and Robin have always been a part of our lives. Our mommy is best friends with their daughter. We get to swim in their pool and eat dinner at their house all the time. Daryl used to be very silly and funny before he got sick. Four years ago Daryl started having health problems, was falling alot and he wasn't his normal self. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong at the time. It took a lot of different doctors, alot of different tests and a few misdiagnosis, but Daryl was finally diagnosed with ALS in early 2014. Since he began having health problems, Daryl’s life has changed a lot! He now has problems speaking clearly, cannot play with his grandkids the way he wants to, had to stop working, he can no longer drive and usher at church anymore. Daryl can’t walk without assistance and falls often and easily, so he no longer can care for himself all day. Robin still needs to work (she loves her job and thankfully can work from home when she needs to), so the rest of the family take turns helping during the day with Daryl's needs. With this diagnosis, it also brought about a lot of medical expenses each month. Daryl just received his wheelchair and now needs to get ramps installed throughout his house. This is just one of the many upcoming financial expenses they will have and this is why we have decided to start our own ALS Give Bucket Challenge, to directly benefit Daryl Knapp and his family. We, the Voong kids, now challenge YOU to take part in the Give Bucket Challenge and make a donation to help Daryl Knapp as he battles ALS. We love you Daryl!
