Darrens battle with M.S

~~~Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that can change lives quickly! It is a long lasting disease that can affect your brain, spinal cord, the optic nerves in your eyes. It causes problems with balance, muscle control and many other basic bodily functions so many of us don’t even think about. ~~~ ***Darren has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 20 years. He was diagnosed at a very young age.  We had just begun our family, Paige was six months old. It was overwhelming, but we stayed strong and got through the challenges it brought. Five years later our family grew and we had Tori. He started having issues soon after, which made things hard with a five year old and a newborn, but he pushed on.  Years passed things settled, but again five years later it reared its ugly head and the MS hit hard.  He could no longer work.  He focused on getting better and being home with the girls.  I picked up a part-time job along the way with my full-time job and still continue to do so.  Both girls are adults now starting their own families and careers.  They have watched this disease progress throughout their lives and watched their Dad keep fighting.  We have had to make many adjustments as a family and to our home.  We are now at a place where we need to make additional changes that are necessary for him to be safe.  The bathroom now needs an overhaul to make it handicap accessible, along with several other handicap accessories that are needed inside and outside the home.
