Recreational Sports Program at Daroff Charter School
Hello! We are a group of teachers at Universal Daroff Charter School in West Philadelphia. Our main focus at our school is helping grow our next leaders in and outside of the classroom. The students who attend this school are in need of positive role models and teachers who can give them outlets to learn in a positive environment. As the school year is off to a great start in the classroom, we have noticed that there is a need for positive physical activities within our community. With that, we have started our own in-house sports program at school. From flag football, basketball, track and field, and more to come we need your help. After learning in the classroom, we hit the playing field during our After-School Program to compete in good sportsmanship, discipline, and an understanding of community. Unfortunately, many of our students cannot afford the proper equipment or uniforms to participate in the programs. We are hoping to raise enough money so each student is able to join the program with the proper equipment. Right now we are a week into our Football program and are looking to get our kids, shirts, sweatshirts, trophies, and weekly awards such as cleats, footballs, and other prizes.
